May & June Great fishing days around Nantucket ,Tuckernuck and Muskeget Islands. The weather was excellent and big schools of Striped Bass and Bluefish were plentiful. Many of my customers fished with light spinning tackle 6-12 pound test . Yozuri,Bombers, and soft plastics were the lures of choice. I prefer the soft plastic fished with no weight and splashing on the surface. The bass just cannot resist. Fly fishing has become very popular for these salt water gamefish. I use 8 and 9 weight Sage fly rods with Tibor fly reels. My customers enjoy sight casting to the Stripers. You can expect many shots at Stripers during May and June. .

July The bluefish are here in numbers. Large sized Bluefish up to 15 pounds are frequently caught on both spin and fly The areas off of Surfside ,Miacomet, and Cisco were alive with Bluefish. Early morning charters produced good Striped Bass. The Atlantic Bonito showed up at the “Bonito Bar” off of Tuckernuck towards the last week of July. The members of the tuna family are excellent fighters on both spin and fly. The Bonito range from 5-11 pounds in size. Stripers were found on the flats during the day and in the evening good catches along the shoreline.

August Bluefish catches off of the South Shore continue to be excellent. Our half day trips are spent Bluefishing on the beginning of the tide and towards the end of the tide , we anchor up on the “Bonito Bar”. The weather did not disappoint us. Clear days and plenty of action.

I will also organize large groups that are interested in chartering. Call or email me with any questions.
